SYNOPSIS
This new & original modern musical is set inside an ordinary office computer, where the various modules are occupied with their daily delegated tasks.
The action begins in the 'Mail Room' where grandpa MacSpammer vets the incoming mail before passing it on to Ariel the filing clerk. Any 'rejected' item are then collected by waste disposal boy, Chipper'.
When the computer is put 'off line' for repairs, Chipper is coerced into taking Ariel 'off circuit' and introduced some of the other modules. This reckless act, leads to the demise of Grandpa when the 'Medusa' virus gains entry.
CLOSED CIRCUIT
Almost everyone has experienced the frustration of a 'Computer Malfunction!'
It was during one of these frequent events that CLOSED CIRCUIT was devised.
Having just completed my last work (The Planet Origami) I was on the closing page when catastrophe occured, there was a power cut! From past experiences I always save my work as I go along, so thankfully no harm was done.
It's said that "Everything happens for a purpose." As a sceptic I beg to disagree, but perhaps in this one instance there may just have been a modicum of truth, otherwise this new play may not have evolved.
