QUESTIONS
AN ENTERTAINING PIECE FOR SOLO SOPRANO & JUNIOR CHOIR
It never ceases to amaze me how music affects every aspect of our lives. I suppose we tend to think of music as, a progression of notes that combine to make a recognisable tune. I know this isn’t always the case, some would argue that like ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ so it follows that ‘Music is in the ear of the listener.’
Which brings me to the reason for writing this piece. I have tried to answer the ‘Question’ of music, in the broader sense. We should not assume that only the Homo Sapien is capable of appreciating this most wonderful of gifts, after all, why do song birds sing?
